I would like to know how to provide power (electricity) on a railway signal lights along a road-crossing, when the nearest station is kilometers away? Do they lay coppercable from the station to do that? (the question also refers to the signal information)

  1. Most signals and crossing gate protection has battery back up to protect against power failure.

However, In remote areas of the US, where electric lines have not yet reached, crossing gates and signals operate on battery power as their primary source of power.  The batteries are usually charged by the use of solar panels.  So, look to see if there are any solar panels.

But, in the absence of solar panels, the electrical supply may be from underground transmission lines.
