Can a person have Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) in the summertime...?

  1. Anything is possible. Some people do prefer the winter and as a result could bring them down in the summer. I would think that it would be very rare/difficult to find someone with this problem. As humans, we are hard wired to desire sunlight and the outdoors. In the winter, you don't get much of either.  


  2. it's known as the winter depression so i dont think so.

    && it's related to the amount of light someone gets (in the winter you get less)

Maybe the person gets depressed in the summer because everyone else seems so happy at this time of year.  The person recognizes he/she does not feel happy and to see others being happy brings the person down.  The summer could also  be an anniversary of a sad event the person had.  One should see a doctor to get the differential diagnosis.   Good Luck.
