what thai spices would be nice with beef

Thumbs up to all the answers so far, just wanted to throw in coriander, shallots, ginger, curry powder - and in the Thai ground beef dish larb, mint is an essential spice.  Bon appetite!

kaffir lime, Thai basil, galangal and lemon grass.

It depends on how you want to serve your beef.  Will it be served whole as as steak or thinly sliced to make a spicy Thai salad?

You could use any Thai spices and herbs for both.

Herbs: bai horapa (Thai basil), lemon grass, kaffir lime leaves

Spices: chilli

Condiments: nam pla (fish sauce)

It's difficult to know what to suggest without knowing what cut of beef you've got and what you want to make.
