About Telemarketers?

Why are people so rude and obnoxious towards telemarketers?

They are people and they do have feelings. I do telemarketing as a job and there is no need to be rude to that person. Telemarketing is a job and people do need a job in order to live.

Well,really you should know before you get into that job that people hate telemarketers and you just have to expect rudeness. It's only natural for people to get angry when complete strangers call them at home (often during dinner time) or work and try to convince them to spend money often in a very pushy manner. That being said, I am only rude to the ones that are rude and pushy towards me. I shouldn't have to politely say 'no thankyou, i'm not interested' 10 times before they finally let me go! I find local telemarketers are nowhere near as pushy and annoying as the Indian ones - so generally the Indian ones are the ones who cop it from me. I understand you are just doing your job so if you are friendly and respectful towards me then I will do the same for you : )

same here but when i get a telemarketer that calls me a 11pm at night then i'm sorry but i draw the line,  additionaly when i get a telemarketer call my cell phone.

Some telemarketers are also rude and pushy. I'm not a rude person though, I try to talk to everyone with respect.
