About Tipping...?

Does anybody know how you are suppose to know how much to tip someone who gives you a tattoo. No clue. Thanks

  1. to me it depends on the size and difficulty of the tattoo.if you have some big elaborate back piece,then give them $50. if its a small simple tattoo that takes 10 min. then give them $10.


  2. I would say at least 10% of what the tattoo cost you - For example my last tattoo was on my ankle cost me about $160 and about 30 minutes work for the artist. I tipped $20 which I thought was acceptable.

  3. I give my guy an extra $20 per session. Most of what you pay the artist goes to the shop and he'll get some as a commission. But it's not food and you don't need to give a percentage. I think a 20-spot is always a welcome tip.
