i was told it is always good to have ALL of your user accounts password protected but there is no option to password protect the guest account, least that i know of.

is this right?

shouldn't there be a way to password protect the guest account?

  1. woulda,shoulda,coulda,i'd a been a millionaire !

    why ? who knows?

just don't activate that account. have 1 administrator and password protect it!

create limited user accounts for "guest" users so "guests" can't get to that unprotected account.

not that there's much a "guest" could do with it cause it's a "limited user" account by default

possibly that's why there's no password needed

  2. The whole point of a guest account is that anyone can use it

  3. by default the guest account in vista is disabled meaning it cannot be used, period. not having a password shouldn't be an issue unless the guest account has been activated.
