  1. They give you some anesthetic so it isn't that bad. :) I understand I got that too.

  2. My experience of it is this:

First 3 days: Intense pain have to wear gauze to stop any bleeding that may happen. Your cheeks will likely swell up, talking will be difficult and you'll have to eat/drink soft foods if any.

Next 2-3 weeks minor pain which will decrease as time goes by, and exposed stitches (which will dissolve).

    Good luck.

  3. The numbing may pinch a bit. You won't feel pain during the pulling but you will hear a lot of stuff (drilling & hammering perhaps) that may make you scared. You can ask for ear plugs but I doubt it'll cover it up completely.

  4. hey!  well i was really nervous when i got to the office; but really you shouldnt worry cause you wont even realize when you're put to sleep, when you wake up you cant feel your mouth because they still numb it so that for the first couple hours you feel no pain. you will have gauze in your mouth and go home and sleep.

the rest of the first day i felt fine! i even went out for a walk; the second day i have to say was the worst, i was very swollen and it was just a yucky feeling over all, it's not so bad other than having puffy cheeks and difficulty eating. good luck!

    hope it helped!

  5. It's one of the easiest things I've ever had to get done. They will give you a gas mask for oxygen and they also say they will give you some laughing gas. Most of the time, the laughing gas will make you feel a bit light-headed and relaxed so you won't even notice if they put the IV in you. For me, the laughing gas had no effect on me so I was completely conscious for the IV. The surgeon put a rubber band around my arm so they could see the veins more clearly and it was a tiny pinch and the IV was injected. It feels just like a small shot. You will fall asleep in literally less than half a minute so you won't even get much of a chance to see anything. The actual operation takes about 5-6 minutes per tooth. And after they are finished, it will usually take you about 10 minutes to wake up. But the whole thing really only feels like a minute.

As long as you use general anesthesia, and take your painkillers on a tight schedule, and follow your doctor's instructions on post-operative care, you will be fine. I never had any pain with the surgery, and no swelling.

    Good luck =)

  6. It won't be bad, just use the prescribed pain meds for a day or two after.
