My 18 birthday is next month in August, and I was wondering if I could still get a credit card with my birthday being next month?

  1. Probably not. The law considers you a minor until the day you turn 18, which means you lack the legal capacity to enter into contracts.

If you are in a crunch and you need a credit card now, you can get a checking account with a debit card and use it as you would a credit card.
