Do you think they are tacky?

Can you use them as a bed (everynight)

How much are they?

What kind of mattress should i get for it?

Do they last a long time?

How much are they normally priced?

Is it hard to assemble?

Do you know of any good websites for them?

What are your experiences with them?

  1. I currently own a futon but was given it from a friend. I use it everynight for a bed but I would prefer an actual bed. You can get a really nice one for around 100 at Target, but I don't know about any other ones. They aren't hard to assemble at all and they are very good for multifunction and space saving.

  2. Don't care so much about tacky, you can choose your covers and style.

You can use them as a bed every night. But when they wear down you can also feel the beams against your back!

They can be very cheap (depends on your budget)

They usually come with a mattress, the cheaper the futon the worse the mattress!

They last a long time but the mattress can tend to get hard and lumpy. If you use it as a sofa the heavy mattress slides down all the time.

Annoying to assemble but not too hard... get a friend to help.

I would rather try and get a sofa bed with a decent mattress! But hey, you check it out!

Google 'Futons' and the place you live, you should get a useful link.

  3. i own a decent one i use for a bed but i paid 700.oo for it.it also can be used as a couch it has a heavy matress that is already stuck to it so no sliding off i bought it in case my couch goes i can use the futon for my next couch it is a nice one.

  4. As a short term solution they are fine. They should come with a matress assembled. ("About a futon" sounds like a new Hugh Grant movie ;-)   )
