so i had three fillings a month or so ago, and after i got home and the numbing wore off i felt the fillings were too high and definitely hurt to bite down on and stuff.

lately it's been EXTREMELY sensitive. i can't get back into the dentist until next week. i could have been in 2 weeks ago but apparently i'm not good enough cause they kept canceling on me.

i looked at one of the teeth that had a filling, and near the gum there is a little black line, that was there before i even got the fillings. and it hurts extremely bad and i'm paranoid it could be a root canal.

and if so, i definitely blame the dentist/hygienist for this. they could have definitely filled the tooth better and made sure all of it was gone.

so could a dentist not doing their ~job~ right be the cause of a root canal? i'm NOT going back to this lady, if i need one.

i'm hoping it's just a part of cavity or something. :|

  1. It might not be part of the cavity. It could be a crease stain that is common. If you feel your bite is high you need to go in for a adjustment right away. The more irritated teeth get the more chance of a root canal is needed. Teeth are not very forgiving when it comes to abuse. I would lay off using the area for 1 week and take an anti inflamitory to see if area improves and go back for an adjustment. Demand to be seen.
