  1. well u don't have to train allot, I'm in track and in the summer i road my bike like crazy! i did not stop ridding it, it was good extrisise and you don't even notice that it is helping you run faster, like last year i ran the mile in 9.56 and this year i ran the mile in 8.25.

    you can do it

  2. That's quite a jump in times, so you'd have to train quite a bit. You also set your goal for next March, so it is definitely achievable:)

    Preparation outside practice:

You need to combine strength training with cardio to see optimum results in your performance. Do pushups, crunches, lifts, etc.; you can find variations of such strength exercises online. Variety is beneficial; it will truly challenge your body and take it to limits it has never reached.

    800m on race day:

Everyone paces oneself differently. If you're allowed to cut in right after the gun goes off, make sure you get a good start; don't let anyone elbow you in an attempt to push you back. If anything, elbow others:) Start out at a fast jog, and take it up a notch after the 200 mark. After your first 400, just hang in there; try not to slow down. When you come to your last straightaway, give it all you've got left. There's no one way to run for everybody; each person has his/her strengths and weaknesses. Try not to let yourself get psyched out. One saying I like to run through my head is "Pain is weakness leaving the body". It's a saying by the Marines, and it's great to think about when you're feeling mentally and/or physically exhausted during a race. Good luck!:)

  3. A LOT. There's a figurative brick wall at a time of about 2:20, and it takes SERIOUS work, like consistent, vigorous, every-day workouts to get that good.

  4. I think it is very reasonable, because this year I joined trackfor the first time and my first race Honestly was 2:23 indoors and during the season I just worked my butt off every single day. Then my first race outdoor was 2:15 and i felt there was noway I could run any faster, then i kept training and came confrence and I ran the 4X8 and open 800 and got 2:07 both times. So i think it is very reasonable to decrease your time by that amount. all that matters is just how much work you put in to it. Good Luck! im sure you can do it with hard work!

  5. That's a big goal, but not an impossible one. Definitely train alot, about 5-6 days a week, definitely
