web could not possibly channeled without some request from home user's PC specifying info required, correct? And, T or F, this communication from the PC to the cable company is transmitted over the coaxial cable?

But with tv stations, there is no 2-way communication, right? all channels are simply broadcasted at different frequencies? Right?

Thanks. 5 stars to correct answer.

  1. Unless your modem has a bulit in firewall it is possible for some one to go scanning the internet and discover your computer then have a tinker with it.

True 2 way communication with the cable company is routed over the coax.

TV stations over radio waves cannot receiver data from you. When you use your interactive button, your TV makes a phone call on your landline.
