hey i got question about camcorders that, there are some camcorders with cassettes and some with saying 30GB,80GB,4GB AND MANY MORE..what is the difference between them?

  1. 30GB 40GB 60GB 80GB refer to the new hard drive (HD) based camcorders, they have a hard drive similar to a laptop inside them, and record onto that, there is no tape or DVD.

    4GB would refer to a memory card that is removable and may come with a video camera that has a DVD, or tape cassette.  It is used for still pictures or MPEG videos.


  2. Some camcorders have an internal modem (30GB to 60GB) that stores the recordings. No tapes or discs needed. Also, some will also be able to snap a still frame. For that you will need the memory stick (4GB).

    You will pay more for the bigger modem storage capacity.
