  1. if you go to a public school, all elementary and secondary education is free.

  2. Grades K to 12 are free (paid for by the taxpayers).  In Newfoundland I believe the government used to pay for university education or at least they used to.

  3. Kindergarten to grade 12 is the common years of education in Canada (including Ontario- it no longer goes to grade 13). Quebec has a different sort of education system.

University and college is not for free.

  4. Free in Quebec??? NOT!! I live in Quebec, my kids are in elemetary school, and I pay 200$ each a year just to get them in school. Ok, it's not much, but I still would not say it's free.

  5. Depends on the province.  In Quebec, high school goes to grade 11, and then two years of CEGEP, which you have to pay for.  In Ontario high school goes to grade 13.

Other provinces vary.  You may want to do a Google search province by province.

    Good luck.

  6. In Ontario, high school (both public and Catholic) goes to grade 12 only (the old grade 13 ended years ago to be replaced with OAC which ended a few of years back).  So, Junior Kindergarten, then Senior Kindergarten and then grades 1 through 12 are free.

  7. i don't know what some of these people are talking about, but i go to a public school in BC and have had to pay for it all
