About community service.?

Question

i need to do 20 hours of it for school.

can i get it done in one weekend.

Remember, you are awake for approximately 16 hours per day--to give you some idea of how much of a day that takes. So trying to do it in a weekend is not the best idea. Get something you like to do and you won't be out there trying to find shortcuts. Being in Service teaches and strengthens character. You will be better for the experience and college and job recruiters look for that on your resume. Check with your church, local scout headquarters, hospitals, nursing homes.

That would be a challenge but doable if you include Fri eve.  Try Habitat for Humanity or try to get involved in a whatever-a-thon where money is raised for charity by going long hrs at doing something.  If those won't work then look for 3 different things to do and do a few hrs at each for ex see if you can do a food collection for a foodbank most of which are desperate right now (5-6 hrs on  Sat AM) leave there at noon or 1 and eat on the way to a trash clean up that goes 4-6 hrs.  and maybe clean cages or help with an adoption at an animal shelter for 6-8 hrs on Sunday day time.    Does it have to be in one weekend?

We once had a guy do 48 hrs of community service in 48 hrs straight.  The guys supervising him actually took his picture in front of the clock every hr. but I sure don't recommend it.

That would be pushing it. That's 10 hours for Saturday and 10 for Sunday. Try to spread them out into a couple of weekends.
