  1. The electron transport chain end product is ATP (Adenosine triphosphate). 36 molecules of ATP are produced in this stage of aerobic respiration as hydrogen/electrons are passed along the carriers on the inner membrane of the mitochondrion. The final hydrogen acceptor is oxygen giving the other metabolic product of aerobic respiration,water.

    In addition, 2 molecules of ATP are the net product of glycolysis, the first stage of respiration, giving a total of 38 molecules of ATP per molecule of glucose respired aerobically.

    Hope this helps!

  2. No, the end of the electron transport chain is oxygen. It receives electrons to become water. It is not ATP, there are no exchange of electrons to form ATP. The steps of the ETC pump H ions across the membrane which drive the production of ATP, but that is not a part of the ETC.

    Each molecule of NADH (the beginning of the ETC) produces 2 of ATP.

  3. The overall electron chain transport reaction is:

    2 H+ + 2 e+ + 1/2 O2 ---> H2O + energy

    At the end of the chain, the electrons are accepted by oxygen, which combines with protons (hydrogen ions) in the solution to form water.

    The energy released is in the form of ATP.

    Hence, we get the end product in the form of water and

    ATP.

    hope that helps..
