About fostering?

I am 19 years old and I am looking for an agency in the Contra Costa county of Northern California that would allow some one my age to foster. I am currently a nanny and love kids. it is something i have wanted to do my whole life. If anyone knows an agency in northern California let me know?

go straight to social services... they will let you know state laws, and if the state of Cali allows it, than the social services of contra costa county will too, as long as you have a stable income and they deem you a stable individual.

otter to be a froster parent you have to have your own place..They make sure it's right for the child.

It says that it depends on your reasons... no strict age limitations.  I would contact them today to see if you would qualify.

I'm a foster in NJ.  I went on line to social services and got their number.  They call you up right away and do a short little interview on the phone and they'll tell you the requirements for your state.  

I know that here you are not too young to foster and they will allow you to rent so long as your stable job wise and would have daycare and such.  Good Luck with it!  It's well worth the paperwork!!
