Question:

About gap teeth appliance fixing this? ?

I was given a twin block, and I have noticed that it has made the gap expand but then shrink a lot like it seems like it will close the gap. What do you all think? If this does not work, I might get the tissue cut between the teeth, as most of my teeth are straight, and braces would just only change a little bit of things.

  1. I don't know what a "twin block" is but, it sounds like you're just concerned about the gap between your front two teeth?  The muscle between these teeth is called the freenum attachment.  Lots of kids get this cut at the dentist, sometimes they fall and rip it themselves.  Anyway, if your dentist agrees, I would recommend you get the surgery to reduce the muscle between your front teeth. It's no big deal, and then use a orthodontic elastic every night around your front two teeth for a few months. (Or just till they move together, and then periodically for retention.)  Most orthodontists would sell you a bag of elastics, but they may be hesitant to play a part in self-treatment.  My mom used to put a twistie on our front teeth when they came in with a gap, it worked!

  2. I think that the gap will eventually close
