  1. Start at the beginning and go back to school...for acting. Find a good school with a good teacher and get started. You have to be serious if you want to make it. If on the other hand you just want to dabble and see what happens then you will probably end up like thousands and thousands of other aspiring actors who think that all they have to do is to decide to become an actor and then it will happen somehow magically.

Most with that attitude end up struggling.

There are other things you can do while you are studying to start getting some experience. Extra work for example is a good education at the beginning to see how things work on set. I wouldn't do it for too long though, but you can learn a thing or two. Also, depending on where you live, you can get into student films, short films, independent films, community theatre or just about anything to get some ground level experience, even if you don't get paid for it.

Have a look at this page on my site for new and aspiring actors. On it you will find 23 links to different pages that have to do with various apects of starting an acting career including 17 things you can do to start getting some acting work no matter where you live, 23 benefits of taking acting classes, how to choose a school and basic steps to starting your acting career. http://www.actingcareerstartup.com/teen_...

    Good luck!

  2. I'm almost positive you have some sort of local theater. Just try out for one of their plays. Even if you don't make it, its experience. Keep auditioning and practicing.

  3. If you aren't willing to break out of your shell in order to get experience, you have no chance in the acting world.

  4. First you going to have to go to acting schools for training. Not only one but a couple. Then you should get in local plays, school plays, student films. You could search for auditions on craigslist.com or subscribe to backstage.com. Dont try to move to LA or NY until you have lots of credit on your resume and have proffessional headshots because your going to be in a larger market and its going to be very competetive. The you should get headshots that look like you. Professional headshots are pretty expensive they cost $200-$1000 but on craigslist you could find less expensive headshot that range from $50 to $150. As you get more and more credits on your resume, you may want to go for an agent. An agent gets you auditions and they want people who they think would nail all the auditions they give. If you get a part in an audition. The money you make out of that work you pay 10% to your agent. ONLY 10%. If they ask for money upfront they are a SCAM. Once you get an agent you would start getting a lot of auditions which means more audition. As you make money out of roles you make you may want to get professional headshots. Then in the future you may want to join Union such a SAG, AFTRA , AEA.... HOPE I HELPED
