  1. The parts you will need are the cams, lifters (or followers depending on the engine) cam bearings and what ever gaskets you need to install it.

I stay with what  many call  torque cams.

The two most common  engine  building mistakes are too much cam and too much carburetor. So don't go to wild.

I use ones in the 280 range, but unless you want a  tough time keeping at idle stay under 300

  2. Performance cams increase airflow through the engine. In order to make the expected power from the cam installation, you will need to upgrade the air intake, the exhaust system and the computer as well.

You'll need a cold air intake, a larger throttle body, headers and cat back exhaust. It would also be a good idea to replace the valve springs (a weak spot on these engines) and the hydraulic lash adjusters. The original timing chain and gears can be retained. It would be best to contact someone like Superchips and give the the specs on the cams and the other modifications made and they can set you up with a custom calibration programmer to help the computer tuning take advantage of the modifications. Have fun, hope this helps.

There is no kit. You would order the cam and matching valve springs, that is all that's needed other than valve cover gaskets and a timing cover gasket set. I repeat, NO KIT. And if you want it to perform at it's best, do what I recommend above. I have already done all of this to my 02 F-150 4.6 with outstanding results.
