About how long before eye herpes outbreak occurs?

I believe I have it. Approximately how long before I have an outbreak ONCE I develop the symptoms that suggest eye herpes?

Good news Chris, I can tell you you do not have herpes because your symptoms have been present for so long.  If it were herpes you'd be in constant severe pain and blind by now.  The symptoms you describe fit with dry eye, especially troublesome if you're on the computer a lot.  Try artificial tears 4-6x a day(or more) for a week or so, if you're not improved go to your eye doctor.  Good luck I hope you feel better.
