So, I had my hair dyed about a week ago and I do not like it too much. I want to go back to my natural as soon as possible. I went to a hair salon yesterday and they told me that my hair has to grow in about an inch to an inch and a half before they can dye it to the color that is closest to my natural. How long will that take?

  1. It will be about 3 months. Your hair grows about .5 in a month.

  2. Normally this would take just a few months, but because your hair your has just been dyed (and therefore damaged) it may take longer.  Think of a rough estimate of about 6 months.  To get your results in that amount of time keep your hair in the best conditioner possible (by not using neat styling, and giving your hair intensive protein-enriched conditioning treatments regularly. If you keep your hair in a good condition, you will notice results quicker than you think!

    Good Luck!

  3. On an average, hair grows at the rate of half to an inch a month .  Try http://solutionsforhairgrowth.blogspot.c...  for more details.

  4. itll take about an month and a half to two months depending on how fast your hair grows (if you dont know this then think of how fast your fingernails grow.. its about the same)

to make your hair grow faster you should use a lengthening shampoo/ conditioner (pantenes pretty good and cheap) which minimizes damage

and you shoudl massage it (literally) into your scalp for a minute

if you straighten/curl your hair you should keep it to a minimum

and you should always use a heat resistant product when doing so

also you should use a hair mask or oil treatment weekly (try vo5)

its all about minimizing damage.. stronger hair grows faster (and looks better)

  5. It depends on your hair.

    Mine grows back pretty fast.

But the average is probably around a little over 3 months.
