For black Germans the correct term would be Afro Deutsch as they are German not american. It's hard to pin point how many there exactly are as german cesus is based on nationality rather than race. If they are German citizens they would be classified along with other Germans. Only african immigrants who do not hold german citizens could be accounted for. However the last estimate was 300,000 to 500,000 blacks living in germany.

I know there are lists in the usa where you have to fill in your .... ethnicity origin (I am not sure wether it´s the right word) but we don´t have them here. There are no documents containing this data. No exact figure available.

African American is an American term and not a European term.

After WW2 Germany adopted very strong anti discrimination laws. German does not list race, color, or religion on identification documents and therefore do not count people based upon race. If the German government does not count people by race then there is no possible way to credibly answer your question.

There is a substantial number of Americans living in Germany, and a substantial number of Africans living in Germany as well as a number of black Germans citizens. However outside of those with foreign citizenship's the are counted simply as German citizens. No one in Germany is required to stat their race on any application what so ever.

I think in the past was before being the American military was over here all over but right now not that much, but there are some of them stayed here in got married and worked. so better you will find it out in the USA consulate if you really need a particular answer
