About how many feet in a diameter would the light from a 4000 lumen metal halide light bulb travel before it gets too dim to see when it hits the floor? The FLOOR is 12 feet BELOW the light! NOT 12 FEET LONG!

  1. You have insufficient information to formulate a correct answer. #1 The height of the light source. Is there a lampshade to direct the beam? If there is, how far below the light source and calculations to  an angle of light projection below. If there is not, is the bulb shaded internally? If there is neither, the light will shine upon all the floor surface without shading.

  2. Your question makes no sense.

feet in diameter .. light travel?

If the floor is 12 ft below the light, it travels 12 ft to hit the floor!
