We usually get 2 tritips to feed about 7 people

The standard rule of thumb is 1/4 pound boneless (Tri Tip) product per person and 1/2 pound bone in (Rib Roast) per serson.

In my family (4) one good size tri tip will feed us dinner with enough left overs for two sandwiches.

It also depends on who you are feeding. There is a huge difference between feeding four men and feeding 4 children.
