I am buying the Casio Exilim EX-Z80VP tomorrow and I am curious how many pictures it can hold without a memory card.

Thanks! (:

  1. 3-5 with 5 mega pixel

    on website:

    Approx. 2 shots (Fine) / 5 shots (Normal) / 7 shots (Economy)

    Techie Terms...

1 pixel is made up of 3 color information, red, green, blue.

and usually 1pixel will take at least 3bytes. so...

    5megapixel would be 5 million pixels, 5,000,000x3=15,000,000 bytes=14.30511474609375MB for a raw image.

with jpeg compression, which is 2-6 times smaller than RAW format, its about 2-3mb per picture

  2. it depends how big the pictures are ..

for example. .  if the pictures that you take are 2.5 MB each. .

divide 12 by 2.5 which is 4.8 ..   that means that you can take just 4 pictures..

depending how many MP (megapixel) is your camera, it will influence in the size of your pics

I am being very specific! btw  ..  your avatar looks cute!

  3. not many. you really need to buy a memory card. I'm guessing around 20 or so, maybe even less...

  4. If a picture is 8MB, then only one.

Each pixcel is a byte.  The resolution is stated by height by width.  So 1024 x 764 is 782 Kilobyte.

    1024 bytes is 1KB.

    1024 KB is one MB.

The higher your resolution, the lower the number of pics in internal storage.  If you are taking pics for wallpaper, choose 600x800 for a 15" monitor.  You only need 2 mega pic to be a good photo.  The limitation to the resolution should be the capability of your printer.  Otherwise you are wasting storage.

  5. With my camera in RAW format it would take 0. You need to buy a memory card. They are cheap though. $20 should get you a couple of gigs of memory.

  6. It can hold just half an hour film.
