  1. In the US, prices will run betw $6-9000 or so. You must receive a minimum of 40 hours instruction (more like 60 for most folks), complete a ground school course, pass a written exam, a flight physical, and a check ride.

It usually takes most people about 6 months to a year to complete their training depending on how much time they can devote, their instructor's schedule, and their budget.

    Have a look at:

  2. You can't get a 'license'. You can get a 'Certificate'.

For the Private SEL (Single Engine Land), it takes 3 to 6 months, and runs about $6,000.  Add the Instrument Rating, and it runs another $3,000 to $6,000.

    Three things:

    1) Get your Medical Certificate out of the way before any training.

    2) Have your money saved first.

    3) Schedule 3 times a week, fly at least twice.

    Good luck

  3. --For Private Pilot--Airplane:  about US$6000 and two months.
