I was wondering how much is really outrageous if I want to live on my own. I'm currently with my parents, I'm looking for a part-time job, I have about $700 of expenses each month, then my tuition per semester is about $3,000. Is it too much to consider additional loans for housing? I don't want to be in too much debt after graduating. I don't know what students are willing to have covered by loans these days. I don't have access to scholarships or tuition because of the type of program I am in.

  1. 700 dollars a month expenses for someone who is living with their folks is quite high.  You might consider cutting expenses or whatever that is causing you to have this much expenses per month so you can use the money you are currently using for those expenses for rent.

Also, if you are not eligible for tuition assistance and federal aid because of the program you are in, you likely won't qualify for student loans either.
