it can be a lot.  I was i Barcelona over christmas, and the major thing there is that a) they have minimum rates, that you CAN argue with and usually win and b) they try to make you pay more than you said u would before the ride started. For a 15-20 mile ride on average you end up spending between 15-40 euros depending on how much you can negotiate off the price.
