About how much is a ticket for failure to stop at a stop sign?

Any suggestions on how to get this ticket reduced or dropped?

  1. It depends on the state, but generally about $75 - $100. As far as a reduction, plead with the court that you are destitute (Too poor to make due). As far as dropped, have witnesses appear for you and state the cop wrote you the ticket because you got in an argument.

    Word against word is not lying under oath...

    Or... you could go in... in a calm, not know it all manner and say that you were in a rush... you believed that you made a complete stop, the officer thought otherwise. Then go on to say, I know I stopped enough to make sure it was safe in order to continue to my destination.

    Just remember... when going into a traffic court, the judge gets to hear a bunch of know it all - defend myself as if I was a lawyer people. So if you go in calmly, more than anything else, and explain yourself without trying to prove a point, You have a better chance of getting off then going in and making yourself look like you're trying to prove Watergate again.
