  1. You better start looking for a job.  Your husband will cry when he gets his first check.

  2. Not enough trust me.   It all depends on how many years they have in.  Go to www.army.com and you can get all the information you need.

  3. Base pay for an E-2 is $1509.90. Since he is married he will get Basic allowance for substance (BAS) about $290 per month.  Housing allowance or military provided housing also.  Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) varies by the location but a good average would be $700. So about $2500 per month.

Keep in mind he may not get BAS or BAH until all his training is complete.  While he is in a dormitory they sometimes consider that as housing they have provided and he might have to provide for you and the kids on his own until that training is done.

  4. 1509 plus about 289 for bas and bah is based on where you are stationed. for example fort bliss is 804. These figures are monthly

  5. Your hubby will get 1509 plus BAH.

That should help you at least approximate what that will be.

I am not sure if you will or will not receive BAS (the 290).  It used to be sent to the families still, but I am not sure anymore.  My husband is currently away for a school and this time they are keeping BAS since he is eating in the DFAC.

You won't really know what to expect for a few months.  The first month is going to be low because they take an advance out so that they can buy everything they need for basic.

By his third paycheck it should become pretty stable.

    Good luck!
