Having a lot of photos will take up room, and all estimates about how many songs it holds are worthless. Due to variable factors such as the encoder you're using, the bit rate, and the length of the song can change how much space that song takes up, it means that  you could fit hundreds more songs than they say you can or you could fit hundreds less.
