    Expenses about £400.

(You will not get a decent flat for £320. What is necisarry (sic)? I wouldn't necessarily say this but come on there is a spell checker

  2. about £400 for rent,£500 for other necisarry expenditure, shopping etc, edinburgh is expensive for enting houses/flats

  3. It'd probably be around £320 a month for the rent, with another £3-500 for the expenses. That's what I pay, anyway.

I do have a decent flat. My costs were per person, so the actual rent is much higher.

  4. Rent is probably about £400 a month, though obviously it varies.  It's probably cheaper for you to share a flat rather than get a 1 bedroom place each.  Utility bills might be included in your rent, if not they'll be about the same as elsewhere in the UK.

The good news is that students are exempt from council tax, so if they send you a bill for tax, you can just phone them and they won't charge you.

Transport costs vary.  Lothian Buses are the main company who charge £1.10 for a single fare, £2.50 for a day ticket or you could get a Ridacard for about £30 a month.  Edinburgh's not a bad city to drive in, but petrol is expensive and there are ridiculous amounts of roadworks at the moment so you're probably better off on the bus.
