  1. The best way to find out is to just go to the different auto insurance websites on the web. It doesn't take long and that would give you the best answer. If someone tried to give you a price range it would just be an assumption. Try progressive.com; geico.com and some other popular ones. Like Allstate.

Also when I got my first NEW car I was 18. I checked all the websites that offered on line quotes and wrote them down. I also got a phone book and found different auto insurance agencies in my area and called them for rates. It didn't take too much time and it let me know who offered the cheapest insurance for my needs. It was actually worth it. I was going to be paying over $450 a month with the different agencies on line. I found a local agency through the phone book and was able to get insurance for a around $295.

  2. It's best to find a price comparison web site as they will check all the different companies for you. The insurer will need a lot of information before he will be able to quote, so I couldn't really give you a figure on the information provided as there isn't enough information. While you are under 25 though, it wont be cheap.

  3. At 16, your only option is to be added to your parents policy, and since none of know what company they are with, we can't predict what the increase will be.  Have mom or dad call and find out, then you will know.

  4. It's hard to give you an exact amount without knowing a bit more about you like where you live for instance.  It's an older vehicle so it will be more affordable to insure.  Make sure you ask your insurance company about the good student discount if you have a B average or better in school.

Since you are only 16, you are most likely going to be on your parent's policy.  That is good because it is much cheaper for you that way. Try to stay on their policy as long as you can. I am sure your parents already have car insurance, but I would have your parent's get quotes from a few other insurance companies just to make sure they are getting the cheapest rate possible for you.  Some companies actually specialize in insuring teen drivers.

If you want to get a ball park idea of how much insurance is going to cost you, you can check out the site below.  It allows you to compare quotes for all of the insurance companies in your area for free.

    Good Luck!

  5. Some of the more popular on-line quoting services are:

    http://insurance.moneysavecenter.com/

    http://gsx1.com/InsuranceComparison.html

    http://cars.guidearticles.com/insurance-...

    there's more in google

  6. Driving a Mini-Van would cost less.  Depending on what kind of coverage, if it's liability then it would be a good $250 a month and this is the cheapest coverage, but with a Mini-Van it would be kind of cheaper

Join with your parents coverage it would be cheaper so maybe $130 per month on Liability?

Driving a vintage car is cheaper because it is hard to damage and cheaper to fix.

Like my 1st generation Lincoln Town Car (1st Time the Town Car was made) I am 17 and pay $60 a month for full coverage! I have Progressive and I am with my parents coverage

  7. the easiest way to find out is talk to an insurance agaent, it varys greatly

  8. talk to the insurance rep they can get you quotes ...also take drivers ed if you havent allready this will help lower your rates and I am sorry your car is a minivan....

  9. Most insurance carriers will quote you for free. My best advice is to shop around a lot. It's going to vary quite a bit from carrier to carrier, and your own info is going to play a factor. Most of it can be done online though. Good luck.
