About how much would it cost?

We're moving into a house next month that we're renting, and there's this one room that desperately needs new carpet. All of the other rooms have nice carpet. We asked the landlady if we could put it in, and she said no problem. Now, I've never had anything to do with carpet. About how much would it cost to do one room? About 194' X 219'

$300 - $1000 depending on quality of carpet, local prices etc.  (I assume you mean 194 x 219 inches, not feet.)

As you probably know thats 38 square yards of carpet,@ $20 a yard (<---just a guess),thats $760 Thats a big room ! Call around and get prices on Carpet, padding and installation. You may think twice about footing the whole bill. Your landlord may split it with you. You never know unless you ask. After all you are improving thier property, Good luck
