About how much would it cost to adopt an infant in Maryland?

My mother is thinking about adopting and she wants to know about how much it will cost her. Like I said; she wants to adopt an infant; a baby. Thanks.

I agree that the best thing to do is call an agency. Because people tend to get offended a lot with this question, I think a better way to word it is, "How much would the process of adoption cost." That way it doesn't sound like you are paying for the child, just the process that goes along with adopting a child.

You usually only pay when you go through a private adoption with a lawyer.  The lawyer and his client will set the fee.  If she goes through the state it does not cost anything.  She ust wont be able to get a baby very easily.

It could cost alot of money. She can call a adoption agency in your area and ask them how much it would cost to adopt a baby.
