About how much would it cost to hire a professional genealogist? ?

I couldn't exactly tell you a for sure price but it would be a little expensive. My aunt is a genealogist and she finds all her information at various websites, because many contain records about families dating back to the 1600's.  So I suggest you doing it yourself because you know more about your family than some person that you don't know.
