I have Canon SD1000 digital camera. Bought it in Feb. Great camera I love it. I dropped it and it popped open. I snapped it back together and it turns on but I can only look at pictures I can't scroll up and down to take pictures or video.

When I dropped it something had to move inside and go out of place. It seems like a minor problem but I don't want to open it up myself and potentially mess up something else.

Could someone give an estimate on how much it would cost...

and what's a good place to take it to get fixed? Does BestBuy or Circuit City do it? Where can I fix it at?

  1. Repairs, if possible, will be at your expense since damage caused by abuse is not covered by the warranty. Its likely that the cost will be as much as a new camera.

Use the SD1000 as a paperweight and begin shopping for your new camera. I suggest one from the Olympus Stylus SW series since they are waterproof and shockproof.
