About how old is a 7 1/2 inch Red-Eared Slider?

The answers I've gotten until now SUCK!

Give me some numbers, some possiilities! about how?

  1. you will never know UNLESS you got them as a baby like I did..then you would know how old they are. Mine are 36 yrs old. I git mine when they were 2.  They fade over time.

    People stunt the turttles by improper housing and diet.So unless you get it the size of a 50 cent piece you will never know..

    they need lots of fish to eat and greens...to grow and live

  2. well there is no way to tell excatly how all it is unless u were there wen they were born but some say u can count rings on there shell and full grown female can get up to a foot male a lil smaller

  3. Its always hard to tell.

    Your turtle could be fully grown for a while, or could still be growing.

    If you really want to know what you have to do is monitor if your turtle grows at all over the next few months. And that way you will be able to tell.

    And you can also tell by the kind of skin the turtles has.

    If it looks really bright green that means the turtle is pretty young.

  4. Idk But mine is the same size And im trynne find him a mate. Mine is 8 inches and i have him in a 50 gallon tank im suposed to have him in his 100 but it broke. He likes to get On the side of his basking dock and shake and you already know what he's doing.So if yours a female please sell it to me ill give you my e-mail lol.

    P.s mine is 5 years old  

  5. it vairies its very hard to tell age by size , my guess would be at minimum 1 1/2 years +.
