what can i expect when i go to india? what are those places i should visit? is the standard of living there very high or just fair? are food and other stuffs there very expensive? what can i expect from the people? are the laws strictly implemented there? is corruption there high?

You can visit Delhi(Historical n capital), Agra(Taj Mahal), Jaipur, Udaipur, Goa(beaches),

Shimla(Hill Station) depending on ur taste.

Do not drink the local water. Use only packaged drinking water. Carry enough of medicines (especially for tummy upsets).  

People find India quite cheap. And the standard of living is a quite BIG MIXTURE!

People are nice and friendly.Try to dress conservatively.

Corruption won't really bother u as a tourist. Just carry in all the required documents and cash in terms of rupees ( and change if u go to small places).

Basically you will be shocked with the crowd, population and surprised with the Transport Network.

India is a pleasant place to visit, Depend of your Interest you have all choices like Scenic, Historic, Beaches, Religious, Monuments, etc,, based on your interest you can finalize trips through Indian tourism department, every city has lots of travel facilities.

India is relatively fair in pricing, you can have a good food of various nationals and average cost of food in Normal grade hotel will be about $25 per PDPP, you can also spend $100 in a five star Buffet lunch & dinner.

Transport i would say covers extremely well either by Road transport or Train or Flight depends on your budget, again the cost is reasonable as compared to any Western Countries.

Law and order as applicable in any other countries across the Globe,  Corruption to me cannot be eliminated from teh system of the world in total. But these are obsolutely not a threat to any foreign tourists s India loves visitors and Millions of poeple across the globe visit india .

India is xtremely colourful....so many languages,different outfits ofcourse yumy food......it's all amazing.......I m an Inadian n trust me u will not regret after visiting INDIA.......so do come here........

Beautiful country with a lot of culture.

Pros:

scenery

food is great..and it's really not expensive.

tourist attractions like Taj Mahal and REALLYY beautiful beaches in Chennai..you can get really cheap camel rides..soo much fun. Visit famous temples like Tirupati

People are sweet..but not everyone! Be careful w/ your belongings..and make sure you're not getting ripped off by sellers.
