About internet marketing for a company website to attract clients and increase sales?

Question

i am currently doing a company project

and i found a problem of their company website (the website hasn't been updated for years)

therefore, i would like to do some researches of how effective internet marketing can attract potential clients.

can anyone provide me any information?

like books, articles, etc, which relate to how internet marketing (using company website) to increase sales

Wow... you're asking for a 3 year course summarized in a paragraph. It's like ordering a airplane in a box.

Internet Marketing is very complex and there a a lot of things you can do to increase sales. Here are some of the things you have to look at:

- Copywriting on the webpage

- Website layout and navigation

- Links coming in

- Current marketing done for the website

PPC advertising is one method.  You could enter the website URL with Google, Yahoo and MSN.

Enter the website URL at http://www.dmoz.com

If all else fails you could invest in some paid targeted traffic!

But I know that you meant more like "How can I attract traffic now?" not "How can people find me in Google if they search for [your keyword] in two years time".

I found there website through an article that specifically listed they as a good website that sells high quality traffic.
