  1. yes you must make a move if possible

  2. its a rule for you to jump a piece if you hav the chance...so technically the turn will still be urs and you have to take the piece.

  3. only they able to jump your piece

  4. only if they can because u might have anoth piece behind or diagnol whatever next to it

  5. Yes, in checkers the rule is that you must jump if there is a chance to jump, and if you do not jump your opponent can take that piece.

  6. It USED to be a rule that your opponent could remove your piece from the board if it failed to jump when it had the opportunity.

Now, however, there's no such penalty. That rule is pretty much obsolete.  Basically, you have to take back the move you made, and make the jump.

In Checkers, if you can jump, you must jump.  There's no option.

The only "options" when it comes to jumping are:

    1) If more than one of your pieces can jump, you can make either jump that's available.

    2) You do not necessarily have to make the jump which captures the most men.

This is one of the least understood rules of the game. A lot of people don't realize that jumping is mandatory.   And of course, part of the strategy of the game is to force your opponent to jump your pieces when they'd rather not, because it would weaken their position.

  7. No.But you do not have to jump. Also if you play on yahoo checker's you can not move until you jump. I play it you do not have to jump.

  8. You have to jump.

  9. no, there is no option, you must jump or forfeit the game.
