I know this is a music question – but it is very specific to the Olympics…

Question:

Does anybody know about the music used for the women’s artistic gymnastics? And if you are familiar with that kind of music, could you recommend something for me?

Notes:

Ok, I know all of it is instrumental, most being classical, some being jazz and some from ‘world music’ genres. But searching for ‘Olympic gymnastic’ type of instrumental music can be daunting, especially if I do not know where to start. And f.y.i. this is not a question of ‘which song did they play.’ It is more about music that typically sounds like what the gymnasts like to use. Thanks.

  1. There is brilliant site that I found. It's called "Gymjamz". You can listen to a 30 sec sample of each song for free. This has an amazing amount of Gymnastics floor music. They have so many styles including Soundtrack, World, Classical, Latin, and hundreds of top chart songs already cut to the required lengths ( with no words!) and you can ask them to edit tracks as well, for free.

Other sites are so expensive when it comes to a single piece of music, but this is really cheap, and the choice is so much better.
