I Have 5 Baby Guppies Known As Fry's. Currently i Keep them in a One Gallon Tank but as they Get Bigger I'll Move Them. So Far the Tank Has Nothing In it Besides the Fry's So Should i Maybe Add a Plastic Plant That i Have at Home? What Should i Add to make it Not look Blank But at the Same Time Entertain the Fry's?

  1. yea maybe a plant fake or real really you dont have to seprate this when about the weeks pass put back with adults and expect more babies if you mean regurlar feeder guppies you really dont gotta worry about it

  2. Plants are good.  Live or fake doesn't really matter to the fish.  Any kind of decor that they can hide in or around helps them.  Little fish like guppies are born with the instinctive knowledge that they are prey fish, so having a place to hide helps them feel safer and more comfortable.  Fish don't have complex emotions, but they can feel stress.  Too much stress leaves them more open to diseases.  Having a place to hide will reduce fish stress.  So feel free to add anything that you think looks pretty or cute as long as it's non-toxic to fish and provides them with a hiding place.

  3. Wow i can't believe this people are telling you to put in fake plants, the fake plants are not good for the fry here is why:

1: they may try to eat little of the plant and can get hurt since is hard plastic.

2: is better if you put natural plants or water plants that float.

3: Don't put little rocks on the tank till they are older.

Don't listen to this two people below since they probably don't know what they are talking about. They always answer question trying to look positive to earn the 10points like if it was a big deal.

Good look with the fry and have fun with it.
