About my cocktail bird?

i have a cockatiel bird for like 5 weeks, and she started off as a biting viliont bird, but i trained her to stop, and she got used to me and halfway stopped biting me. i can now hold her on my hand.

but every time i leave the room she starts chirping nonstopingly, untill i come back. how can i make her stop?

  1. buy a mirror or a plastic bird and it will probably stop. Or put it on your sholder and bring it with if its still inside.


  2. I also have one that thinks she is a person.  I have had her for a year now.  As soon as she hears me get up she starts.  They love people and you should start talking to yours and whistle.  They will copy your whistle.  I taught mine the wolf call and boy does she like that one!  lol

  3. maybe try a radio or play some music to keep her from getting separation anxiety.

  4. You can make her stop by coming back or by taking her with you.  It will also probably help to tell her where you're going, how long you'll be gone, and that you'll be back.
