I've just recently started wearing contacts and when I was taking one of my contacts out, I noticed that it made a small hole, I was wondering if thats okay or what should I do??? By the way, the contacts I have now are the trial pair and I dont have any more to wear until I call the eye doctor to order some which will be Tues. Should I just wait about wearing contacts until then or will it be alright to wear them with that small hole in it?? Thx so much for you help!!!!

  1. dont wear it..

    it can damage your eyes.

  2. DO NOT wear the lenses!  Even the smallest hole/nick/tear can scratch the cornea and cause pain.  In my clinic, we have seen this many times and it isn't worth the potential damage.  Good luck!

  3. I agree.  The lens could damage your eye and will most likely be very irritating at least.  You should throw it out.

Wear your glasses for now or ask the doctor for another trial pair.  Just explain what happened--doctors understand that contacts tear, so hopefully you can get another pair if you'd like.

  4. no dont wear contacts that have rips in them it seriously irritates your eye and can scratch your cornea.
