About personal checks...do they become invalid after a certain amount time?

I've written a few checks to another party and they have not been cashed, the oldest is over sixty days...I know some checks will say on them..."not valid after 90 days" or "void after xx days". So, I'd like to know if this applies to personal checks.

I think it is 6 months for personal checks.

after 90 days they arent valid doesnt mean they wont get cashed most cashiers dont look at the dates
