  1. Talk to the recruiter.  Some will allow you to test only - most don't want to risk sending you to test if your not going to do well.  The reserve recruiters tend to care less about having you take a practice test.  Talk to all service recruiters, one will send you down.

  2. Why don't you get ahead of the curve and check with a local armed forces recruiter yourself.  I think they'd respect and  appreciate your initiative!

  3. One of my family members just joined the Navy, he contacted a recruiter in a town near by, then took the ASVAB test at the recruiting office to see what he would score, and if your scores are low they will help you if you want the help to raise those scores. The higher the score the better chance u have in getting the career u want. Once you take the ASVAB at the Federal Building if you do not like your scores or are low their was a certain amount of time u had to wait and take again, so it would be best to take the practice test at the recruiters office, just to see. Good luck in what ever path u chose, and I know for a fact the student loans suck lol.
