Question:

About retaking sat subject tests...?

i took three sat subject tests:

chem - 650

lit - 480

math 2 - 610

i think im going to retake chem and math 2 in teh fall but idk if i should retake literature? id rather not study for it, seeing as how i didnt the first time. would colleges (UC's mainly) only look at the highest subject test scores and disregard the 480 or would they also see that i did bad on my literatuer? i sent all three scores when i took it in june

should i retake it and get a 500 or just leave it since they only look at the highest scores (chem/math2)

and if i dont retake it would this lower my chances of acceptance because they see that i didnt try a second time to bring my lowest score up?

  1. Colleges don't just look at your highest scores...they look at all the tests you've taken.  Your literature score is really low so if anything, I'd retake the literature and not retake the chem and math 2.  But if you have time to retake all of them, I'd try to get 700 or above on those tests for the UC schools.
