  1. If planning on moving to Australia go to http://www.immi.gov.au/ to see if you qualify

  2. The Department of Immigration and Citizenship will give the relevant info on how to come here eg visa etc. for work or education.

Don't use immigration agents. They are a big cost and often a waste of money. You need to get residence status here first. You can apply to live for one or more years, depending on your reason for coming here.

Using letters to describe your job is no help. We have no idea what it is beyond a machinist. If it is engineering. Perhaps you could get a job in the mining industry. You will have to pay your own medical expenses for the first four years you are here. You have to be here that long before you can get citizenship.

You can do distance education through Monash University or some others. Here are some web sites. There are other Australian Universities besides these.

    Southern Cross University

    Griffith University

These are a few university web sites to start with. There are over 35 Universities in Australia. Not all offer distance education. Monash is the only Group of Eight or Sandstone University that offers undergraduate distance education that I know of. These eight universities are the main research universities in Australia.

The universities in Western Australia such as Curtin and the Univerisity of Western Australia specialise in teaching mining related couses but you would have to be living here to study those. As a non-citizen, you also have to pay full-fees for the university courses at these Australian universities. Until you are a resident, you can't do a degree at an Austalian university for the same fee as and Australian citizen.

Housing is very expensive in Sydney and Melbourne at the moment due to a Housing shortage. You won't get unemployment benefits if you are on a visa. You will have to have a job or be here to study or you won't be let in. OK that's about it from me. You will have to find out the rest from Immigration.

    Cheers!!!
